Did you know you’d go by twilight?
Did you know your life, I’d given?
Did you know dusk would come without you.
That your heart would stop beating before the sun had risen?
Did you know you were an accidental angel?
Did you know you were a product of no love, no ring?
Did you know that you were born?
While God crafted your wings?
Did you know I didn’t believe?
Did you know that you restored my faith?
Did you know God took it back?
When he took you away?
Did you know the pain I’d feel?
Did you know the reason why?
Did you know he gave you to me alone?
So the world deemed you a lie?
Did you know you were born broken?
Did you know you were perfection?
Did you know you were born stronger than me?
Just to teach me a lesson?
Did you know you were beautiful?
Did you know you were all the wonders of the world?
Did you know I’d always love you most?
That you’ll always be my little girl?
Did you know you’d visit my dreams?
Did you know I hear you in every child’s cry?
Did you know I’ll never get over you?
I hope I see you in my next child’s eyes.
Did you know the world is vicious?
Did you know it didn’t deserve you?
Did you know I didn’t either?
Well now, I guess I’ve told you.
This writings is absolutely heart wrenchingly beautiful.
I find that by within my mind substituting just a few of the words
the writing becomes so personal
For then it becomes a persoanl Loved One
had...
and now
..departed
and
as far as the way the writing is presented
so too I am taken with
I like how of each stanza the first three lines start out,
"Did You Know"
with the fourth line
really hard hitting emotionally to depths within/the heartstrings,
as it were
and too on another note
This writing brings to my remembrance
One of the newer songs of Christmas
Song: Mary Did You Know?

Again, this writing of yours gives much to
think about and consider as one's heart is
or can certainly be touched...
~Beautiful indeed
